About Me

Australia has been blessed with wonderful, unique and iconic wildlife. This site is dedicated to promoting its enjoyment and preservation.

Koala, Phascolarctos Cinereus.

Koala joeys emerge from their mother's pouch after about 6 months. After this time they will then spend another six months staying close to their mother, usually being seen holding tight to the back or stomach. After one year the mother will be ready to breed again and the youngster will be encouraged to move off.

These koalas were photographed in captivity at the Australian Reptile Park.
