Eastern Grey Kangaroo,
Macropus Giganteus
If kangaroos do indeed 'box' then really it should be known as kick-boxing
since the majority of the sparring involves powerful and potentially dangerous
kicking or slashing from the hind feet.
This behaviour is seen from an early age in practice fighting from young males and continues though most of their lives as they defend a harem or challenge for one.
These sub-adults were photographed at Morisset on the New South Wales Central Coast.
